Gulf Central District’s Local Church Lay Leaders

Greetings Local Church Lay Leaders:

As a “Servant Leader”, you have been chosen to represent the laity of your local church.

By accepting this responsibility, “you have committed your unique passions, gifts, and abilities in a position of leadership”.

“There are five functions of leadership that are essential to strengthen and support the ministry of the church: identifying and supporting leaders as spiritual leaders, discovering reality, naming shared vision, developing action plans, and monitoring the journey.”

You will be serving on the following Committees of your local church:
Charge Conference, Church Council, Finance Committee, Lay Leadership Committee and Staff Parrish Relations Committee.

This may seem to be a huge and awesome responsibility but you are not alone.

As your District Lay Leader, I will always be available to assist you and be in counsel with you.
